The PEI mussels are a favorite, in white wine and garlic sauce, with crusty slices of bread for dipping. We arrived when it opened at noon on a weekday and by 1pm, the restaurant was filling up quickly. It has once again been voted by Newsday as one of the top 100 restaurants on Long Island. prices and a spectacular view of the Long Island Sound. The Inlet Seafood Restaurant popped up as the place to go for fresh seafood with decent. Last year during my annual visit to Montauk with my sisters we decided to try a different restaurant from the one we had been going to for many years. I would highly recommend Inlet Seafood Restaurant if you are in Montauk! More My husband had similar raves about the fish and chips. The light breading they used was so delicious and they were cooked perfectly.
I love scallops and eat them cooked many different ways. Many restaurants have great views, but mediocre food or vice versa, but the food at Inlet Seafood exceeded expectations in every way! I had the scallop po-boy and my husband had the fish and chips. We sat outside on their upper deck and could have stayed there all day if we did not have other sights we wanted to see! We saw boats of every shape and size entering and exiting the inlet. It is perched high on a hill with a spectacular view of the inlet and the sound. We often consult Tripadviser for recommendations and found a real winner for lunch at Inlet. We took a day trip to Montauk for the first time. My husband and I are retired and recently moved to Long Island NY to be near children and grandchildren.
